Hi beautiful people, it is me, your fluffy baby Smokey. Before we begin, I want to tell you something special. This year marks my sixth Christmas with Mom and Dad, and it already feels magical. Our house is waking up with lights and warmth and excitement. I can feel the start of our Smokey Christmas countdown as soon as I open my eyes.
Something is happening today. Mom is acting sweet and mysterious like she has a holiday secret she is trying not to say out loud. Every time she walks past me, she smiles with that I know something you do not know look. My tail reacts on its own because that smile means Christmas magic is starting to sparkle in our home.
The day started like any normal morning. I stretched, yawned, and gave Mom my cutest feed me look. But instead of starting our usual routine, she looked at me and said, Smokey, it is almost Christmas. Almost Christmas. My mind could not understand what almost means but my tail started preparing for the moment anyway. Maybe it means treats. Maybe it means toys. Maybe it means something even bigger.
Then things became interesting. I caught Mom on her phone, but not regular scrolling. She was on PetSmart. She was looking at holiday bows, pajamas, cookies shaped like snowflakes, and tiny grooming goodies. And she was not browsing. She was adding items to the cart one by one. That is when I knew something major was beginning in our Smokey Christmas countdown. Mom only shops like this when she is preparing for a special moment.
Then she said it. The magic words. Smokey, we are going tomorrow. Tomorrow. To PetSmart. The land of treats and toys and the place where everyone calls me adorable. My whole body filled with joy. My ears perked so high they almost floated away. My paws started doing the invisible tap dance. Tomorrow must be part of the big celebration because Mom sounded excited too.
More clues appeared around the house. Everything smells like gingerbread. Decorations are showing up in random places like they walked there on their own. Mom keeps humming Christmas songs under her breath like she cannot stop the happiness. When she looks at me, she gives me a soft smile that says my baby has no idea what is coming. And she is right. I do not know. But I can feel the joy of our Smokey Christmas countdown growing stronger with every hour.
So here I am on Day 1. I do not know what surprise tomorrow will bring, but my heart is ready and my tail is ready. This is our sixth Christmas together and I already know it will be filled with love and magic. Come back tomorrow for Day 2 of my Christmas adventure because something wonderful is coming and I cannot wait to share it with you.
Love you all so much
Boop
