The world feels softer when the tree is glowing and Smokey is curled beneath it like he's holding the whole season in his little heart.

Smokey Christmas Countdown The Story of Our December Magic

Hi beautiful people… it’s me, Smokey.

Your tiny fluffy narrator is back to fill in all the magical moments we missed from Day 3 to Day 11 of our Smokey Christmas Countdown.

This week felt like a chapter from a Christmas fairy tale.

Lights glowing.

Mom decorating.

Dad smiling.

And me… watching every little sparkle with my whole heart.

Day 3 A Quiet Night of Christmas Magic

The tree shimmered like it was breathing.

Mom placed a new ornament gently on a branch, and I curled under the tree watching the colors dance on the walls.

It felt like the world whispered goodnight and wrapped us in warm light.

Day 4 A Day of Following Mom Everywhere

Mom moved around the house adjusting little decorations.

And I followed her every step because that is my job in this Smokey Christmas Countdown.

If she places a ribbon, I inspect it.

If she hangs a snowflake, I approve it with a tiny head tilt.

I take my duties very seriously.

Day 5 Christmas Glow All Around Me

The tree turned on at sunset and filled the room with soft color.

I lay at the base like a fluffy guardian watching the magic swirl above me.

Mom said I looked like a little Christmas angel.

Maybe I am.

Day 6 Dad Fixes the Tree Skirt and I Make It My Throne

Dad fluffed the base of the tree, and I immediately sat on it.

It felt like a glowing golden cloud made just for me.

Mom laughed so hard she had tears.

I love when she laughs like that.

The house feels brighter when she smiles.

Day 7 A Little Gift Arrives

A package showed up today and Mom began wrapping it.

I supervised each fold.

I sniffed every corner.

I approved the final bow by blinking slowly.

The Smokey Christmas Countdown requires quality control, after all.

Day 8 The Mysterious Floating Ribbon

Mom dropped a little Christmas ribbon while wrapping.

It floated to the floor so gracefullythat I jumped back like it had magical powers.

Mom laughed until her shoulders shook.

I pretended I meant to do it.

I had to protect my reputation.

Day 9 A Soft Moment Under the Tree

Mom sat beside me under the tree tonight.

She rested her hand on my paw.

The room was quiet except for the soft hum of the lights.

It felt peaceful and safe.I love moments like this.

They stay in my heart.

Day 10 Riding in the Car With Dad and Missing Mom

Dad drove Mom to work this morning.

I sat in the back seat on my pillow like a tiny prince.

I watched Mom through the window until she disappeared inside.

My little heart felt heavy.

But then…Dad and I picked her up later.

And when she opened the door, I immediately turned my head away.

I gave her the cold shoulder.

I have to make my point.

Until we get home.

Then I lick her like crazy.

Day 11 Wrapping Gifts While Not Feeling Well

Mom wrapped a few gifts today even though she still has dizziness and nausea.

I stayed close to her every moment.

If she moved, I moved.

If she breathed funny, I checked on her.

Being part of the Smokey Christmas Countdown also means watching over the people I love.

And today… the house felt extra magical.

Warm lights.

Soft music.

A little tree glowing like a dream.

And me curled at her feet keeping my sweet little eyes on her.
